Active Loans/Mock Pawn

Learn how to use the Active Loans option in the customer profile to provide an estimated payment for the customer.

Date Updated: 3/12/2025

The Active Loans screen manages all active loans and buys for the selected customer. Unlike the Loan Management screen, it only shows the active loans for the current customer. Access the Active Loans screen from the Edit Customer screen.

Instructions

  • Start on the Dashboard and search for a customer and click Edit instead of Select.
  • From the Customer Screen, on the right side menu, select Active Loans.
  • Mock Pawn adds the ability to see how much it would cost to Renew or Redeem active loans for a future date on the customer Active Loans screen.
  • This feature is to help determine future Renewal or Redemption amounts.

For example, to answer customers when they ask How much would it cost me to pick up one, two, or all of my tickets on the 22th?

  • On the View Customer Active Loans Screen, above the grid in the top right corner there is a Date to Calculate for: control.
  • This control is used to set the future date to calculate for a mock renewal or mock redemption.

Amt Due

  • The column Amt Due on the the right side of the grid has the calculated amount due based on the future date to calculate.

RdmRnw

  • This column has check boxes so you can select whether to Redeem (Rdm) or Renew (Rnw), or deselect for neither.
  • When Rdm is checked, this updates the Amount Due at the bottom of the screen to display the total redemption amount for the selected ticket(s) and also updates the Total Amount at the bottom of the screen.
  • When Rnw is clicked, this updates the Amount Due to be the sum of the fees and interest (the renewal amount) for the selected rows.
  • Both calculations are assumed without the lost ticket fee.

Important Note

The grid displays pawn ticket items, not individual tickets. If multiple items are on a ticket, the due amount appears for each item, but the total reflects only the ticket's overall amount. Additional items are shown in light grey, while the first item is in black. The total due only accounts for the entire ticket, not individual items.
