Add Value to a Gift Card
Learn how to add funds to a gift card.
If a customer has a gift card and wants to add to the balance, follow the process outlined below.
Customer presents a gift card:

Scan the gift card, or enter the gift card number into the Smart Search from the Bravo Dashboard.

You will be brought to the Transactions screen. The Gift Card Sale Detail will pop up immediately.

Enter the amount that the customer wishes to add to the Gift Card. Click OK.
If you are in the middle of a transaction, and the customer wants to add value to an existing gift card, select Gift Card from the right hand side of the screen. Enter the gift card number in the pop up window.![]()
The Transactions screen will reflect this as a Gift Card Sale (even though it is not a new gift card.)

Adding a customer is optional for this type of transaction.
Click Next to go to the Tender Screen.

The additional funds for the gift card appears as the Line Item labeled Gift Cards.
Click Save. Selling a gift card or adding to the gift card balance will generate an Exception.

If you have the authority, you can approve this exception. Otherwise, have a manager approve the sale.
A new gift card will print with the new balance on the corner.
