Bravo Ticket Numbering Convention

Learn how Bravo generates numbers for loans, buys, inventory, layaways, consignments, repairs, web orders, and more—including formatting rules and examples.

Bravo has a specific method for numbering tickets and items. Here is an overview of those numbering systems.

LOAN/BUY

LT-MAX123456-01

[ticket type]-[3 character store code] [6 digits increasing incrementally]-[2 digit item count]

Ticket type - A code indicating what kind of ticket it is

LT = Loan Ticket

BT = Buy Ticket

FT = Firearm Ticket

FB = Firearm Buy

Loans and buys start out using a sequential numbering system. If your first ticket is a pawn it will be LT-MAX000001-01 and if a buy is done second that will mean the ticket for the buy is BT-MAX000002-01.

Buy and Loan ticket numbers can be separated by calling in to Support and having them adjust your store settings. This will make the separate tickets share the same numbering.

Example:

BT-MAX000012-01

LT-MAX000012-01

Note: The barcode of the loan and buy sharing the same ticket number will cause a duplicate picker to be brought up when scanned.

2 Digit Item Count – Items on a ticket are assigned numbers starting with 01.

Example: Loan LT-MAX000012, which has 3 items, the loan item numbers will be

LT-MAX000012-01

LT-MAX000012-02

LT-MAX000012-03

NOTES: For stores with the following setting enabled:

System Configuration -> Configuration -> POP Config -> Print Master Jewelry Label

Loans that include jewelry, the 2 digit code will be 00 for all jewelry items in that loan

For example, loan LT-MAX000013, which has 3 jewelry items, the loan item number will be

LT-MAX000012-00

Mixed loans that include both jewelry and general merchandise will number all jewelry as 00 and the general merchandise with the usual 01, 02, etc.

NOTE: Inventory items converted from your previous system will retain their original inventory ids. However, converted loans, once expired and priced for sale will be given a Bravo inventory number
