Bravo Tips - How to Add Metal and Stones
Learn how to add metal purity and stone details to GM in Bravo's Estimator for accurate valuation and inventory management.
How to Add Metal and Stones
Bravo's Estimator is the best way to get the most accurate value for items that you take into your store on Pawn or Buy. The Estimator helps you value manufactured goods and bulk items. The Jewelry Master helps value precious metals and stones. But what happens when you take in an item that crosses both? Like a watch, for example?

In this case, the customer is pawning an 18K gold Cartier Watch. From the Estimator, once the watch details are entered, click the button that says Add-On Metal & Stones from the lower left corner of the screen.

From this screen you can add the gold details, including purity and weight. If there are any stones in this item, you are able to add those as well.
Once all details are in place, click Next.

You can now complete the transaction as normal. The pawn ticket will show the metal content.

Editing Item Details
What happens if you have an item in your inventory list with a precious metal content that was not added during the initial intake?
Let's say that you have an item that you want to scrap, but the metal content was never added...

Clicking Add to Scrap List will generate an error showing that the item has no precious metal content.
This item happens to be a bulk purchase of Coins. We know that they have metal content. How do we fix this?
Click Estimator on the lower left side of the screen.

This will take you into the Estimator where Metal and Stones can be added.

For Coins and Bullion, look to the right to find the Add-On Metal & Stones option.
Once the metal is added, the item can be scrapped with no issues.
You can also add metal to Flatware.

Note: Items classified as One-of-a-Kind or Miscellaneous Manufactured Goods cannot have Precious Metal content added. These items will need to be reclassified in order to add metal content.
