Buy a Pawn Ticket

Learn how to convert an existing Pawn to a Buy.

In Bravo, a Pawn ticket can be changed to a Buy ticket if a customer opts not to pick up their loan. This enables the store to convert the pawn with the option to increase the customer's payout. This article covers the steps for this process and how to set employee permissions.

Instructions

First, we need to find the loan and there are two ways to begin this process:

1: Scan the Pawn Ticket

  • Scan the customer's Pawn ticket.
  • From the right-side menu, select Buy Ticket.

2: Search for the Customer

  • Search and select the customer’s profile.
  • Select Buy Ticket from the right-side menu.
  • Choose the loan to convert and click Ok to confirm.

The Buy Ticket Detail screen will appear.

  • Use the Regulation drop-down to adjust the regulation if necessary.
  • To increase the Amount Outstanding to pay customer.
  • Locate the Amount to Pay Customer box.
  • Enter the additional amount to be paid or leave it at zero.
  • Click Ok to confirm.
  • Click Next to continue.
  • If you did not enter anything in the Additional Amount field, there will be no money handling. Just Save and finalize the the transaction.

Once you finish the transaction the loan will now be a Buy in Bravo and you have to wait out whatever your Buy Hold Period days are from this date.

Example when additional al funds to customer:

If the outstanding loan amount is $60, and you want to give them an additional $30. Enter $30 in the Amount to Pay Customer box. The buy ticket will now show $90.

Conclusion

Converting a pawn to a buy ticket is a useful feature for handling loans that customers no longer wish to reclaim. By adjusting permissions, stores can control which employees have access to this function.
