BuyBack alternate pawn form

Learn how to enable and use the BuyBack form in Bravo as an alternate pawn agreement, including setup and best practices.

Bravo offers a "BuyBack" option for UK stores that need to print an alternate pawn form for specific regulations, while still allowing traditional pawn forms for non-specific pawns. Stores can select the form and choose the printer for printing. This is only available for stores in the UK.

You will need to setup a few things in System Configuration. See “How to Start or Setup” to do this.

Instructions

  • Select a form. If unavailable in Bravo, call 888-407-6287 to create a new BuyBack form.

Regulation Specific

  • The BuyBack form prints only on loans with a BuyBack regulation. Ensure employees select this regulation when writing such loans.

  • If this pawn transaction differs from standard ones, review the regulation selection criteria to see if Bravo can auto-select the regulation. See the the article, Regulation Selection Criteria.

How to Start or Setup

Once you choose a form to use. There are three things to be set.

  1. Create a “BuyBack” regulation.
  2. Select the form in system config.
  3. Select the printer in system config.

Regulation

You will need to contact your Bravo representative toll free at: 888-407-6287 to setup your BuyBack regulation. Before calling, you will need to know some criteria of your specific BuyBack regulation such as the term of the loan, Interest, Fees, and any other things specific to this BuyBack regulation.

*Available in April 15, 2025 There is a new Configuration option for UK stores called, UK Tax Group Default for Buys in System Configuration > Regulatory in the Configuration Tab that controls the tax group of buy tickets using the regulation set with it. The Default Value set as Service for taxation has a Variable option that can be enabled to where a specific Item Type like Gold Bullion for example can be set to a Tax Group of Nontaxable so the Regulation in use will exempt the item type from taxation.

Form Selection

To select the BuyBack form. Start with System Configuration, then Configuration tab, Select edit, Select POP Config. Select the BuyBack Ticket Form, then choose your form from the dropdown. Make sure to save changes.

Printer selection

  • Make sure to setup the BuyBack printer on your workstation. Once that is setup you can then tell Bravo what printer to use.
  • Start with System Configuration, then Configuration tab, Select edit, Select Printer Config.
  • Select the BuyBack Ticket, then select the pencil icon to edit the printer name.
  • Make sure to click Ok and save changes.

Best Use and Steps

  • Make sure your staff knows how to select a regulation when writing a loan.
  • Once the items for the loan have been selected.
  • From the transactions screen, click “Edit” to edit the loan.
  • Change the Regulation from the default setting to the “BuyBack” regulation.
  • Click Ok to save the change, then process as you normally would.
  • This will print the “BuyBack” form instead of the standard pawn form.
