Cash Drawer Troubleshooting
Learn how to troubleshoot common issues with your cash drawer in Bravo, including steps for checking connections, testing hardware, and reviewing system settings to ensure smooth operation.
If Bravo cannot open your HID cash drawer, try the following solutions:
- Make sure you are using a general till.
- Make sure the general till is configured with the correct HID number.
- Make sure the key is out and the lock is in the (12/6) position.
What should I do if Bravo will not find the HID number or Bravo crashes when opening the cash drawer?
- Look at the Model Number (not the part number) and make sure there is a “554A” in the model number. If the model number has a “554A,” then it has the newer controller/mainboard and that works with faster processors. If it has a “554” without the “A,” then it has the older controller and will not work properly with newer processors like an Intel i3/i5/i7.
What should I do if the cash drawer will not open when a receipt prints on my MultiPRO connected cash drawer?
- Verify that CD-101A cable is connected into the cash drawer and the Star TSP100 LAN printer.
- Verify that either the key is out or the lock is in the (12/6) position.
- In the printer settings, make sure that the pulse width is at 200 milliseconds.
