Password Security
Employees can change their own password at any time, but they cannot reset it if they forget it or get locked out. In those cases, a manager with the proper security permissions must reset it for them.
If no one in your organization has the security level required to reset the password, please contact Bravo support for assistance.

Reset Password for Another Employee
This section will describe how to change the password of another employee.
Note: In order to reset another user's password, you will need to have the security permission set for "Allowed" for the security bit located under Main Menu > System Configuration > Employees > Reset Password. This security setting can be accessed by navigating to System Configuration, using the left panel to expand the relevant store, expanding [Employees], selecting an employee, and then selecting the [Security] tab.
Reset passwords, expire as soon as the user logs in with them. These are one time use passwords only. The employee will need to set a new password, which will become their permanent password.
This is a security feature to ensure that only the employee knows their own permanent password, and no other employees are able to log in under that user alias.
Your first step will be to locate the employee whose password you are trying to change.
- Start by clicking on System Configuration from the Dashboard.
- Expand the Store tree
- Expand the employee tree ad highlight the employee
- Click Reset Password
A box will now appear asking for a new password. Again, keep in mind that this password is a one time use password only. Click OK.
The employee will be able to log in with this password and immediately change it to one of their own choosing.
