Combine Items
Learn how to combine items in Bravo to simplify inventory management by merging them into a single SKU.

The Combine option in Bravo allows you to bundle multiple items together and track them with a single inventory number. This article will walk you through the Combine Inventory option in Bravo.

Combining items results in the following changes:
- One item becomes the primary item, and the Status of all other items changes to DEFUNCT.
- Total Cost of all items combined becomes the Cost of the primary item.
- Total MSRP of all items combined becomes the MSRP of the primary item.
- Total Price of all items combined becomes the Price of the primary item.
- Precious metals and stones from jewelry items will all be added to the primary item.
Instructions
- To access this feature, select Inventory from the Bravo Dashboard.
- From Inventory, select Combine from the side menu.
- You do not need to have any items selected to choose this option:
- You will need to scan or enter the item number that you want to combine:

- If you have a list of items, you can also select two or more items to be combined.
- You can select from the list of items to be priced, or run a report to get a list of items:

- Click on the Combine button on the lower left side of the screen.
The following exceptions/restrictions apply to the inventory combination process:
- Only items with UNPRICED and INVENTORY Status can be combined.
- Items on consignment cannot be combined.
- Jewelry and General Merchandise items cannot be combined together.
- Jewelry items with different metal types cannot be combined together.
- SKU items cannot be combined with other SKU items.
- Multiple firearms/ATF Gun Book items cannot be combined together.
- If an ATF Gun Book item is being combined with other inventory, the Gun Book item must be the primary item.
- The primary item cannot be re-categorized in the Estimator as an ATF Gun Book item if it is not already categorized as such before combining.
- The primary item cannot be re-categorized in the Estimator as a non-ATF Gun Book item if it is already categorized as an ATF Gun Book item.
- Any items selected when you click Combine will be added to the list of items on the Combine Items screen.
On this screen, you can perform the following actions:
- Select the primary item by selecting the radio button on the left.
- Add more items to be combined via the "Inventory Number" search box at the top
- Remove items by clicking the red
on the right side of the item in the grid
- Change Location, Tag Type, Web availability, MSRP, Price, Max Discount Percentage, and Notes on any of the items.
- Run the items through the Estimator.
- Clicking Combine saves the total of MSRP, Price, and Cost to the primary item. Changes to other items will also be saved, while the combined items will be written off.
- The primary item's history will show that it was combined and that its price and cost were updated.
- The item history on the now defunct item will reflect which item it was combined into and that the item was written off:
- Opposing cost adjustment records will be created for both the primary item and the written off items.
