Texas
Under System Configuration > Store Level > Configuration > POP Config:
- Check print the memorandum with loan extensions
- Set the allowable times for the transactions . This gives a warning in Bravo when doing a transaction when you should not be. By law in Texas, the system should not allow “a pawnbroker from making a pawn transaction (pawn loan) or buying/selling pawnshop merchandise before 7 a.m. or after 9 p.m. local time.” Bravo allows the transaction but gives a warning if it is out of the time period.
- Extensions are not allowed in Texas after the Last Day of Grace, including reactivations. This will also prevent reactivations which are not legal in Texas because Texas requires the collection of sales tax. This config must be checked:
- This must be unchecked to automatically give them an extra day with no interest when the store is closed (they must come in that next day). It must be possible in Texas to “extend the “last day of grace” because the pawnshop was closed for business”.
- Under System Configuration > Store Level > Configuration > Printer Config:
- The buy ticket must print on the reports printer because it prints a special “bill of sale” required in Texas that does not use Burrell stock.
Under System Configuration > Store Level > Information:
- For Texas, the pawn tickets ordered from Burrell will be pre-numbered. Stores must indicate to Bravo the starting or next ticket number number on the bottom of the store information page:
Under System Configuration > Store Level > Transaction > Pawn ticket:
- Texas stores should NOT configure advertisements on the pawn ticket. This is not allowed by the Texas OCCC.
Under System Configuration > Store Level > Configuration > Assoc Config:
- Texas requires “strong” passwords. It is recommended that stores do not change the default settings for the password configuration.
