Courtesy Holds

You will learn how to configure and manage Courtesy Holds in Bravo, allowing temporary loan extensions without pausing interest or fees.

Courtesy Holds

The Configuration settings for the Courtesy Holds are under

[Configuration] tab and then go to [POP Config]

You will find 2 settings that can be adjusted

Default Courtesy Hold Days is the Default number of days to hold a loan for a customer

Maximum Total Courtesy Hold Days is the longest a loan may be held for a customer. This is the total amount of days that can be added to a loan through its active status, regardless of the number of times that it has been placed on Courtesy Hold

The Courtesy Hold will automatically end when the hold period expires and the loan will go back into its disposition state that it was in when it was placed on hold.

Placing a loan on Courtesy Hold extends the loan by the hold duration without changing the original due date. This applies only to current loans with not-yet-passed due dates.

Note: the loan will not have its interest/fees paused. They will still accrue over the course of the Courtesy Hold.

If a loan is overdue and placed on Courtesy hold, the hold begins on the current date, extending the default date by the number of hold days used.

Example: If the original Default Date was 1/14 and the current date is 1/15 a courtesy hold of 10 days will set the new default date to 1/25.
