Credit Journal Report
You will learn how to run Bravo's Credit Journal Report to audit store, gift card, and layaway credits by type, date, or customer.

This report will help you to audit and review customer credit for your store.
When selecting to run the credit journal, by default the report will provide information on all types of credit for today’s date. The Credit Type section can be configured to run for specific credit types for a specified date range. Researching a specific layaway or gift card number? Use this section to show all associated transactions. For customer credit research and presentation use this section to see all credit transactions for a specified customer.
Concerns & Considerations
Only enable this report for those employees who will need to complete this task.
This report is intended to provide clarity in auditing and credit calculations.
For multi-store operators, Store Credit and Gift Card Credit are for the whole company and reported company wide.
Layaway Credit is for individual stores and will only show for the present store. The balances of Layaway Credits will reconcile with the End of Month report run for the same date range.
How to Start or Setup
After the report has been enabled for your store, you will need to make sure that your employees have the correct securities.
You can find this security in System Configuration under the Employee's Security:

Best Use and Steps
To run the report, start by selecting Reports from the Bravo Dashboard:
From the Reports screen, select Credit Journal from Sales Reports. Click Preview.

You will see the Credit Journal Report Configuration window.
You can now select the information you would like to see on the report. You can select to view the report by:
- Credit Type and Date
- Layaway or Giftcard Number
- Customer
Report Layout
Credit Type
If Credit Type is selected from the configuration window, you can select from All Credits, Store Credit, Gift Card Credit, Layaway credit, or a combination. The report defaults to All Credits.
The date range will default to the current date, but can be configured to display any date range needed.
If there were no transactions for the credit type specified, the report will state No data available and just show the total credit balance for that credit type.
Layaway or Giftcard Number
Layaway Number:
Type in the layaway number to see all layaway credit transactions and expired credits associated to that layaway number.

Giftcard Number:
Type in the Gift Card number to see all transactions associated to that gift card.

Customer:
Running the report by customer shows all credit balances for the selected customer and any associated transactions.

From the Report Preview Screen you can:
Print the report by clicking on the Print icon:
Export or Save the report by clicking on the save or email icons:
Open the report in a new window:
