Custom Regulatory Fee Names

Learn how to customize the name of regulatory fees in Bravo to match local laws or store preferences for clearer receipt labeling and reporting.

You can rename the following regulatory fees from within System Configuration, allowing your receipt printouts to reflect your customized fee names:

  • Administrative
  • Appraisal
  • Service
  • Storage/Storage 2
  • Lost Ticket
  • Late
  • Notice
  • Value Added Tax

These fee names can be customized even after a regulatory set's Effective Date is set to lock in the charges on loans.   When you do this, a dialog will inform you of the limited editing capability.

System configuration> Regulatory Tab> Fees Tab

To customize, click "Edit Set" and then Click the "pencil" icon next to the fee you wish to modify.

Notice that the "Storage 2" fee does not have a pencil icon next to it. This fee inherits its name from the "Storage" fee, so if you rename "Storage" to "Handling", "Storage 2" will automatically be renamed to "Handling 2".

Fee min and max names are not editable because they are not used on receipt printouts. To make it easier to associate min and max configurations with the custom fee names, simply hover your mouse over the custom fee name to see what the original fee name was.

You can also quickly revert the fee name back to its original name by clicking the 'x' while editing the name.

During redemption and renewal, when you click Edit on the transaction line item, the fees will be separated into each configured fee, allowing you to compare charges with the individual configurations. This is especially useful if you configure two fees with the same name, or if you rename a fee to "Interest". As with the view in System Configuration, you can hover over a fee to see which fee name was overridden.

On the receipt, fees with the same name will be combined into a single line. Any fees named "Interest" will combine with the configured interest from the regulatory set.
