Customer Image Requirements
Learn what image formats and quality standards are required when uploading customer photos in Bravo.
Bravo can now be configured to require customer images (photos, fingerprints or signatures) during certain kinds of transactions. This can be used to meet reporting requirements, for example Georgia and California for CAPSS.
Fingerprints and Signatures require additional devices and their associated Bravo Plugins to capture these image types.
The following transaction types meet the requirements for capturing images. New images will be required for every transaction:
- New Loans
- New Buys
- New Consignments
- Renewals
- Buy Tickets
- Redemption* Available in January 2025
In System Configuration > Configuration tab > POP Config, the store can be configured to require images. Selecting any of the check boxes will enable the transaction image requirement.

Once enabled, the tender screen will show a Required Images button indicating if any images are required in a bubble. The transaction cannot process without these images.
In the example below, three images are required, two of them captured already.
The store will need to capture a photo of the customer to complete the transaction.

Customer Images: Other tab
The Other tab in a customer's profile displays icons to indicate the type of images with a time-stamp. This allows the user to differentiate between a fingerprint and a signature.

Fingerprint Verification for Redemption
*Available in January 2025 Bravo can be set to require fingerprint verification for redemption.- To enable it, from the Bravo Dashboard, click on System Configuration, select the Configuration tab, and set it as shown below.
- Restart Bravo.

Fingerprint Vs Biometrics
The 1. Fingerprint menu option in the customer profile is used for capturing a customer's image of their fingerprint for Police reporting.
The 2. Biometrics menu option in the customer profile is used for capturing biometric data for verification and validation of a customer's fingerprint that is first captured at time of writing a loan and then again to verify it at redemption. The Void/View Transactions screen will show images collected during a transaction.
