Customer Required Fields

Learn how to configure required customer fields in Bravo to ensure compliance and data accuracy for transactions like loans, buys, and consignments.

This article is going to go over the Customer Required Fields and explain what each section does. There are 2 main things to cover:

To get to the Customer Required Fields section you must first go to the System Configuration section from the Dashboard side Menu > System Configuration.

Then you will head to the Transactions Tab at the top of the screen and it will automatically land on the Customer Required Fields.

Transaction Types

The Transaction types are broken down by color for the main type of transaction it is.

  • Yellow - Customer Sale
  • Green - Pawns
  • Blue - Vendor Sales
  • Orange - Show but don't require - meaning that the field will always show up and you can enter into that field, but it will not require it unless a different Transaction Type requires it.

Each of these transaction types can affect other transaction types. For example, if you require the Date of Birth on the Customer Sale, it is then also going to be required for a Customer Return, Customer Layaway and a Customer FIrearm Sale. It shows this by having the automatically checked Transaction Types show as pre-filled.

However, If you don't require it for Customer Sale and only require it for Customer Firearm Sales, you can uncheck the Customer Sale portion and select only the Customer Firearm Sale as seen below.
