eBay Cancellations

You will learn how to cancel eBay listings in Bravo, including removing active items and understanding the impact on fees and listing history.

If you need to end a listing early (an auction or fixed price item), you should cancel it from the eBay Listings screen (fixed price item), or an auction from the Web Auction Management screen (auction).

If the item is no longer active, (either paid or waiting fulfillment) and you need to cancel it, then eBay requires that a resolution case needs to be opened. Bravo will create this case for you automatically depending on the situation.

Automatic Cancellations

Bravo will cancel an eBay auction or fixed price listing automatically, so the same item can be sold in a POS transaction.

For all automatic cancels from the transaction screen, such as when an item that has been PAID on eBay, but not shipped, that item may still be sold to a customer in the store. When this occurs, then a case is created with an out-of-stock reason on eBay.

Manual Cancellations

For manual cancellations from the eBay listing management screen or auction management screen, Bravo will prompt for which type of case to create on eBay.

Select the item to cancel and then right click to select Cancel item, or select Cancel from the right hand menu.

The if the item wasn't sold awaiting payment or awaiting shipment, it will show as cancelled out of stock on eBay.  If not, it will prompt you to create a case.

Cancel in Bravo Only if you want to end the listing and create the case on eBay yourself directly on eBay.com (this option may also be necessary if Bravo becomes out of sync with eBay, for example when listings are manually ended on eBay).

For web order cancellations, the case is opened automatically depending on the web order cancellation reason (for items pending web order fulfillment). If Customer Request is the reason for cancelling the order, the case is Buyer Doesn't Want an Item, If the reason is No Longer Available, Unable To Find, then the Out-Of-Stock case is opened on eBay. For other reasons, then Other case on eBay is used. For fixed price and auction, ending a listing on eBay will automatically cancel the listing in Bravo.

Currently, we do not cancel fixed price listings that are already on eBay, if the eBay category is turned off (unchecked in the System Configuration web tab). These will need to be manually canceled from the eBay Listing Management.

Once an item is cancelled, it will update as Cancelled in the Web Auctions screen.

Items will return to Unpriced status in Bravo and the Item history screen will show that the item has been cancelled.

If an item was cancelled because it could not be found, you will need to now write the item off from the Inventory screen.
