This article will walk you through the process of Expiring a Layaway for those transactions that are overdue and have not had any payments at all.
Instructions
- Click on the Layaway's Overdue task management button. A list of Layaways that are overdue will populate.
- Right click on the layaway that you wish to expire
- From the menu options, select, Expire Layaway.
- Alternatively, you can select Expire Layaway from the column on the right.
- Click Save.
Note: Layaway credits are configured in System Configuration. If you store gives credit on expired layaways, the credit will move to the customer's account. If your store does not issue credit, no credit will be granted to the customer.
You can also expire all of your Overdue Layaways by clicking on Expire All from the panel on the right.
- You will be prompted with a confirmation window to save all changes.
- Click Yes to finalize expiring the selected Layaways.
Expired layaways will be added to the Priced Items List, awaiting pricing. If the item was a SKU, it will revert to the SKU without needing to be priced.
