Extension Options and Configuration

There are different ways to configure Extension options in Bravo.  This article will take you through the process of configuring these options for your store, and explain what these options mean.

What is an Extension, How is it different from a Renewal

The main difference between an Extension and a Renewal has to do with the terms of the loan.  A Renewal is considered a new Loan, and all of the periods start over again, including hold days, grace periods, and pawn terms. The customer can only renew for a full period.

In an Extension, the loan terms remain the same, but the period of time for the customer to pay is extended by a certain number of days. Each store can configure their options for Extensions to meet their own individual needs.

  • You can choose if extensions bring the Loan current or not.
  • You choose if you will allow your customers to extend by a number of days at a time,
  • You can also choose your customers can extend by full periods.

In Bravo, you can set all of these settings in your system configuration.  To do this;

  • Select System Configuration from the Bravo Dashboard.
  • Then select the Configuration Tab.
  • Scroll to the POP Config section.  Click the arrow to expand the menu.
  • Expand the LOAN EXTENSIONS menu.

Each of these options can be set for your individual needs.
