Gun Book Record Types
Learn about the different record types in Bravo’s ATF A&D Gun Book, including standard acquisitions and dispositions, and special cases like corrections and conversions.
To help dealers maintain their A&D Book for different departments, Bravo sets a Record Type for each ATF Record in the ATF A&D Book. Currently, three record types are used in Bravo: Primary, NFA, and Gunsmithing.
- Primary
- The Primary record type is used for acquisition of all non-NFA items, with the exception of repair-related items.
- NFA items acquired through pawn transactions are also assigned to the Primary record type.
- NFA
- The NFA record type is used for acquisition of NFA items, with the exception of pawn-related and repair-related items.
- Gunsmithing
- The Gunsmithing record type is used for acquisition of items through repair transactions. This includes repair of NFA items.
These record types will be set for new ATF records going forward. Record Type will be Primary for all ATF records created before the 3.0.7.xx release.
To filter the ATF A&D Book by record type, simply select the record types you want to view from the checklist on the ATF A & D Book Report Configuration dialog. Select Ok on this checklist to confirm the desired record types to include in your report.

You can also view the Record Type of a specific ATF Record from the Edit ATF Record screen.
