Layaway Balance Report
You will learn how to run the Layaway Balance Report in Bravo to view outstanding customer balances, payment history, and manage layaway accounts effectively.
To view the balance of outstanding layaways in your store, you will want to run the Layaway balance report.
First, click on "Reports" from the Bravo Dashboard.

Now scroll down to "Sales Reports" and select "Layaway Balance"

Click Preview and you will see a pop-up window that will allow you to configure your report:

You will get a report that looks like this:

The top section of the report shows all business dates that had layaway transactions. This section shows:
- Date
- Business date of the layaway transaction
- Starting Balance Due
- This is the amount outstanding on open layaways at the beginning of the business day.
- New Layaways
- Outstanding amount on new layaways started on the date of business
- New Layaway Taxes
- Outstanding tax amount on new layaways started on the date of business
- Down Payments
- Money received to start a new layaway. (This amount is subtracted from the overall balance)
- Payments
- Any payments made on open layaways (This amount is subtracted from the overall balance)
- Balance Due on Expired Layaways.
- Outstanding amounts from open layaways that expired on the date of business (This amount is subtracted from the overall balance)
- Balance Due on Cancelled Layaways
- Outstanding amounts from open layaways that were cancelled on the date of business. (This amount is subtracted from the overall balance.)
- Ending Balance Due
- This is the amount outstanding on open layaways at the end of the business date.
- Credits Paid Out
- This is the amount (if any) of any credits given for cancelled and expired layaways.
The chart at the bottom of the page shows totals for all of these transaction types. It breaks the totals out into two columns.
Day - Refers to the last date of business for the reporting range
and
Month - Refers to the reporting range as a whole.
To calculate the layaway balance:
Starting Balance + New Layaways + New Layaway taxes - Down Payments - Payments - Balance Due on Expired Layaways - Balance Due on Cancelled Layaways = Ending Layaway Balance.
