Layaway Notice Configuration
Learn how to configure automated layaway notices in Bravo, including message customization, timing options, and communication channels.
If the store has Digital Marketing/SMS, then the store can have an automatic Layaway Notice reminder go out to their customers when their layaways are close to overdue.
This article will walk you through the process to get these Notices done.
Instructions
- First, set up two messages in your desired format..
There is a Single Layaway Notice SMS Template and a Multiple Layaway Notice SMS Template. The Multiple Layaway Notice SMS Template is for customer that have multiple different Layaway tickets that are about to be overdue all at the same time.
There are two ways to send notices:
- Schedule Mobile Event
- Create individual notices
- To set this up, from the Dashboard navigate to System Configuration.
- Select the Configuration Tab.
- Scroll down to the, TEXT MESSAGING CONFIG section.
- Open up TEXT MESSAGING CONFIG hitting the pull down-arrow.
You will see Single Layaway Notice SMS Template & Multiple Layaway Notice SMS Template.

- Click the Edit button at the top of the page.
- Click on the Pencil Icon on the right to edit the message that gets sent.

- At the top of both templates are hard coded buttons with information that can be inserted inside the text message.
- The text of the message that is not part of a predefined button can be changed.
- Now, to put these Templates to use, we need to first go back to the Dashboard.
Scheduled Mobile Event
- From the Dashboard, select Customers from the right panel.
- From here, click on Schedule Mobile Event
- The Schedule a Mobile Event window appears.
- Here click on Add new event, and on a new event gets added at the bottom of the window.
- Click on the CUSTOM drop-down menu and choose LAYAWAY NOTICE.
Now that you've selected LAYAWAY NOTICE, adjust the Days Before setting. This allows customers to receive the message early or on the due date. You can also set the notification time between 9 AM and 8:59 PM.

- Once you have done all that, click the Ok button and Done.
The system will automatically select the appropriate notice to send based on the customer and their active layaways at the time of the message..
Creating individual notices
To send an individual notice to a targeted customer with a Layaway open.
.
- From the Dashboard, select Layaways on the right
- You can choose any customer that has a Layaway open to send a message.
- You can select to do this for those with No Payment in 30 days
- Highlight a single or multiple Layaways on the list
- Click on Send Mobile Notice on the right hand side.
- You will get a notification that a notice has been queued and will sent when saved.
- Click OK
- Now make sure to hit Save on the top right of the screen.
- Bravo will then ask you to confirm to Save the changes.
- Click Yes.
To review the message being sent to customer
The customer's profile in Contact History will show you the message to be sent.
- First, go into the customer's profile.
- Now click Contact History on the bottom right hand side.
- The Contact History window appears.
- Select the message to view its contents.
