List a Fixed Price Item on eBay

You will learn how to list a fixed-price item on eBay through Bravo, including selecting inventory, setting prices, and managing listing details.

Like Buya.com, fixed-price item listings must be reviewed and approved before being listed on eBay. Any eBay errors will need to be corrected before listing as well.

Steps for Listing Fixed Price items on eBay:

Click eBay Listings from the Bravo Dashboard.

From the eBay Listings screen use the All Available button to show all the items that are available for listing on eBay. These will correspond to items that are in the enabled categories.

All Available

If there is a specific item that you do not want to post on eBay, you can click Don't Show. This will hide the item from view so that it does not get listed inadvertently.

NOTE: These items can still be listed later.  Items may be restored for listing from Inventory Management > Item Details > Allow eBay checkbox.

Verify the eBay Category. If you click eBay Advanced Item Specifics before selecting an eBay Category, you will be directed to select the category first.  Click on the three dots in the eBay Category box on the left of the listing screen.

**Note** the above screen capture shows testing categories only.  You will see actual eBay category selections.

Before you complete the listing, double check all item photos, and details are correct. You can also edit items by using the EstimatorItem Detail, and Notes buttons on the left.

Click the arrow next to eBay Advanced Item Specifics to select the eBay item details for the listing. For more details about eBay Advanced Item Specifics, see this article

Once the Advanced Item Specifics are set, you are ready to list the item.

Items can be listed one at a time, or all together.  Select one or more items from the list and then click Place on eBay. (This can be selected by either right clicking on the highlighted item or by selecting the option from the menu on the right.)

The items status will be set to PENDING VERIFICATION and sent to eBay to be reviewed.

Click green plus to add a note (2)

Items will be reviewed by eBay one at a time and the screen will update accordingly as they are verified.

Any warnings or errors are displayed in the grid next to the status. You can mouse over to see the warnings or errors, or click the small red or yellow icon to see the full text of the warning or error in a pop-up window.

The Pending Review filter button can be used to show only the items that have warnings (VERIFIED status) or have errors (ERROR status) that need review.

Examples of errors and warnings:

If there are no errors or warnings, the item will automatically be listed on eBay after a few moments.  If there are errors, the errors must be fixed before the item can be listed.

Click the Place on eBay button again after any corrections.  You may want to list items with warnings, click the Place on eBay button again to list the item if it is VERIFIED status.  If the item is listed successfully, it will have ACTIVE status.

After the item has ACTIVE status you may use the View Listing on eBay button on the right side menu to see the item for sale on eBay.com.

This will take you to the active listing on eBay.com

Automatically Revise Listings:

If an item has been changed after it was listed on eBay, this will trigger Bravo to revise the eBay listing.  Changes to descriptions and other information will also be updated, but only if the price changes.

If an item description is changed without changing the price, then the item will not be updated on eBay. Changes to the item's Bravo categories in the Estimator or the eBay categories in the eBay Listing screen will not automatically be updated on eBay. In these cases, the item listing should be cancelled and then relisted once the categories are corrected.

If an item that is currently on eBay needs to have its price changed to reflect the changing market (Precious Metals do this quite frequently), you can do this at any time by just editing the item and changing its Price or Web Price depending on if you have that set. The Web Price will be greyed out if currently unused. Which means Bravo will use whatever the Store Price has in place.

If you attempt to edit the Price, eBay may already have a Pending Offer on the item for the price its currently listed at, and will not accept the change until you have dealt with the Pending Offer on eBay itself.

Quantity Stock Listings on eBay

If you want eBay to automatically relist items when the quantity reaches zero (meaning, keep the listing up even when you temporarily have no stock), you’ll need to manually enable a specific configuration in eBay. This feature, called "Listings Stay Active When You’re Out of Stock," must be turned on within your eBay account settings.

Steps to enable this feature:

  1. Log into your eBay account.
  2. Navigate to your account settings.
  3. Expand Selling section
  4. Selling Preferences
  5. Find the option for "Listings Stay Active When You’re Out of Stock" and turn it on.

Once enabled, your listings will remain visible to potential buyers, and you won’t have to recreate listings when your stock is replenished
