Loans marked as Lost or Damaged with or without E4473
You will learn how to mark loans as Lost or Damaged in Bravo, with or without an E4473, and ensure proper documentation and compliance steps are followed.

This section explains how to handle a firearm marked as damaged or lost and how to record it in the gun log for proper disposition.
- First, when a firearm is marked Lost or Damages, you cannot write it off immediately, you must follow specific steps to do so and update the gun log.
- First, redeem the item and provide the customer with cash or a replacement.
- Enter the police Incident number in the 4473 Notes and Store Notes, then click Manual Form Entry.

- The reason for the Manual Form Entry will be whatever the Incident number has on it.

- Accept the submission without returning the firearm to the customer.
- The NICS response will be Proceed.
- Include the Incident number in the NICS Transaction number before clicking Next.

- Once the pickup is processed, you will see a notification on the Scan Item Verification Screen indicating the item is in a Lost or Damaged status.
- Click Ok on the warning Information window.

- Then highlight the firearm and click Lost or Damaged on the top right.
- In the Lost or Damaged Items screen, ONLY CLICK SAVE.
- In order to keep the item as Damaged or Lost you need to leave the resolution for later.
- Next, go into the customer's profile and click Resolve Lost or Damaged on the side menu.

- If the customer has multiple Lost or Damaged Events, select one to process by clicking on it, then click Ok.

- On the Resolve Lost or Damaged Items Detail window, you can select a replacement item or provide a Cash Credit.
- You can choose one or both options, then click Ok to continue.

- You are on the Transactions screen with a LOSS REIMBURSEMENT line.
- You can now process the transaction as usual.

Loan marked as Lost or Damaged without E4473
- To redeem in Bravo (without E4473), provide ATF info to "release" the item. Make sure to enter your police Incident number here.

- Now you will be taken to the Scan Items screen. Bravo will give you an Information warning.
- Click Ok to continue.

- Now you will need to click on the line item and select Lost or Damaged on the right hand side.

- ONLY CLICK SAVE. In order to keep the item as damaged or lost you need to leave the resolution until later.

- Now you will need to bring up the customer's profile click on Resolve Lost or Damaged on the side menu.

- If the customer has multiple items waiting on a resolution it will present a list in the Select Lost or Damaged Event window.
- From that list, click on the correct Event Number and click Ok.

- You will then be taken to the Resolve Lost or Damaged Items Detail screen where you can either give the customer a replacement item from your stock, or give them a Cash Credit.
- You do not have to do both, once you made your choice click Ok.

- Now process the reimbursement as a normal transaction. Once you get out of the transaction open up the Lost or Damaged Items screen on the right hand side.
