This article will go over the Merchandise Services Fees two options; Service and Fees and Merchandise.
- From the Dashboard, select Transactions from the side menu.
- Then Select Merchandise Services Fees.
Merchandise
- When Merchandise Services Fees is chosen, the Merchandise Services and Fees Detail window appears, with the [Merchandise] radio button selected.

- Selecting the [Merchandise] option creates a new inventory item in Bravo, sold at the end of the transaction.
- This item is categorized as a Miscellaneous Manufactured Good, has a $0.00 cost, and receives the next available inventory number.
- The cost and category can only be edited if a refund is issued and the item returns to [Unpriced]/[Inventory] Status.
- After selecting [Merchandise] in the [Merchandise Services and Fees Detail] dialog, Bravo users can set the Selling Price, add a brief description, and include any notes for the sale.
- The item is taxable unless the customer is non-tax. It can be sold outright or placed on Layaway.
- A Bravo user should use this method for miscellaneous merchandise sales only if selling an inventory item without a price tag.
- In this case, the [Is Missing Tag] checkbox will be enabled.
- The store's Inventory Base remains unaffected by this sale since the cost is $0.00.
- Later, the user can write off the item using the reason [Item Sold Minus Tag] when the original inventory number is known.
- Writing off the item will adjust the Inventory Base.
Services and Fees
- Selecting the [Services and Fees] option allows a Bravo user to add a fee to a transaction.
- Store admins configure Services and Fees in [System Configuration], can be selected from the drop-down in the [Merchandise, Services and Fees Detail] dialog.
- The [Selling Price] defaults to the [System Configuration] value but can be edited for each transaction.

Job Receipt
Job receipts can be printed for services and fees, helping users track all invoices issued through Bravo.
- Click the [Job Receipt] button to print to your store's Reports printer.
- The Customer Name line will be blank unless a customer is selected in Bravo before printing.
- The [Promise Date] and [Vendor] lines must be filled in by hand after printing.
