Partial Web Refunds

Learn how to issue partial web refunds in Bravo, including accessing the original transaction, selecting refund items or amounts, and completing the process to ensure accurate customer reimbursement.

This allows a store to return some to all of the money a customer paid without receiving the item back to inventory.  It also tracks the refund transaction in Bravo without having to make changes directly in PayPal.

From Web Order Management, locate the order.

Click the [View Order] button.

Click the [Refund] button.

 

Choose the refund reason.  For refund type, choose “Partial Refund.”  Note that the item will not be received back into inventory.

In the “Amount to Refund” column, change the amount to be how much to refund to the customer.  If the customer paid with PayPal, it will be refunded through PayPal; otherwise, it will be refunded like any other sale.

Click the [Complete Refund] button to process the refund.  You will receive a confirmation message indicating that once the transaction has been saved, it cannot be reversed due to the way PayPal works.

NOTE:  Please be aware that if you issue a refund outside of Bravo through PayPal, you will still get the Confirmation prompt.  However, keep in mind, you will not double refund and issue the funds again.
