Pay loans with a ticket

Learn how to post payments in Bravo when a customer presents their pawn ticket, includes redemptions, renewal, partial payments, and extensions.

This article will cover making a payment on a loan when the customer has their ticket and the ticket can then be scanned.

Instructions

On the Bravo Dashboard, scan the ticket’s barcode into the Smart Search box.
The Transactions screen right side menu will highlight the following other pay options available for the loan that the store is configured with.
  • Redemption - Allows the customer to pay off the loan.
  • Renewal - Pays off the existing loan, and creates a new loan for the reminder owed.
  • Partial Payment - Extends a loan by a specific number of days, also used to lower principle
  • Extension - Allows to pay off the accumulated interest and extends the maturity date only.
  • Buy Ticket - Change the Loan to a Buy ticket if a customer opts to sell instead.

Paying for a loan is a straight forward process, from the Transactions screen, select:

Redemption ( Pay Off a Loan)

  • Select Redemption, verify loan details and click Next.
  • Collect Payment and finalize transaction.

Buy Ticket ( Convert to a Buy)

  • Selecting Buy Ticket, will bring up the Buy Ticket Detail window.
  • Click Ok to accept the amount loaned or add additional amount to pay customer.
  • Click Ok then Next and finalize the transaction.

Renewal (Pay Interest and rewrite Loan)

  • Selecting Renewal will pay off the loan and create a new one generally from the date of payment for the remainder owned.
  • Click Ok to confirmed the renewal start date.
  • Review the renewal amount, choose the appropriate MLA option, and click Next.
  • Collect payment and finalize transaction.

Extensions (Pay interest and move due date)

  • To extend the loan, select Extension.
  • The Extend Loan Detail window will appear.
  • Select the number of days the customer wishes to extend the loan and click Ok.

The options displayed in this window are based on your store's configuration settings.

If a customer wants to extend other loans, scan the ticket into the Smart Search box at the top of the Transactions screen and click the Extend button. Choose the extension duration and click Ok. Repeat for each loan to be extended.
  • Click Next to the Tender Screen.
  • Collect payment and finalize transaction.
