Rat-Tail Jewelry Labels
Learn how to set up and print Rat Tail Jewelry Labels for tagging small items like rings, earrings, and chains in Bravo.
To switch from barbell-style jewelry labels to rat-tail-style labels, go to System Configuration > Configuration tab > PRINTER CONFIG, click the Edit button in the upper-left corner, and click the pencil icon on the right side of the Jewelry Label printer.

Change the Label Type to "RAT-TAIL", click Ok, and click Save to save your changes.

Because rat-tail labels are doubled up on the label stock, they must be printed in pairs. When printing jewelry labels to rat-tail labels, any odd-numbered label will not print immediately. Instead, it will be queued to print once you print another jewelry label. In these cases, you will see this notification:

Simply print another jewelry label or reprint the same label to get the printer to produce your labels.

Information on the label includes the price, cost code, tag description, location, inventory number, and barcode. The tag description may not include the full 32 characters shown in Bravo. This is because the rat-tail label itself does not have enough space for the full Tag Description.
If a single label is queued for printing and you leave the screen from which you were queuing labels, the queued label will print twice; this is done to maintain printer alignment while providing you with the last queued label when you are finished with printing labels.
