Retail Sales Analysis Profit and Loss

Track retail revenue, cost, and profit trends over time using Bravo’s Retail Sales Analysis Profit and Loss report for smarter business decisions.

The Retail Sales Analysis Profit and Loss report shows the profit or loss across all sales by store. This report provides line item detail of each retail transaction with cost and total sales variance.

This report can be found under Financial Reports as well as All Reports.

Clicking on Retao; Sales Analysis Profit and Loss will bring you to the report screen where you can select a store, input a custom date range, and select the type.

Type allows you to select all sales or loss sales only.

Once you have entered the parameters click view_report_button.JPG from the right hand side of the screen.

As the report is running, you will see a notification that the report is loading. Clicking Cancel will abort the reporting process.

Once the report is run, you will see a line item detailed list of all sales for the selected company that occurred during the range of dates entered.

The report is grouped by store and then by area (Jewelry and Manufactured Goods). Retail fees are shown at the bottom of the report with No Area listed.

The report can be sorted by the following columns:

  • Store
  • Area Name
  • Department Name (this is the specific category)
  • Class Name (this is the sub category)
  • Style Name (this is the specific style)
  • Item Number
  • Item Description
  • Transaction Number
  • Employee
  • Originating Transaction (if the item was from a Loan or Buy)
  • Originating Employee (for Loan or Buy ticket items)
  • In Date (when the item was first brought into the store)
  • Sales Date
  • Sales Cost
  • Date to Inventory
  • Sales Amount
  • Delta (This is the profit or loss, calculated as Sales Price - Sales Cost. If the Cost is higher than the selling price, the sale will show as a loss.)
