Scrapping items in the UK
Learn how to properly scrap items in the UK using Bravo while complying with VAT margin scheme rules.
The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that in the UK, pawned items that are over £75 are required to be put into a Scrap List and subsequently a Scrap Bucket.
Note: This only applies to fully regulated UK pledges. Not buybacks, buys or pledges that are under £75
Pawn Items Over £75.00 principal
These items are going to require that the item to first be priced before you can put it in the Scrap Bucket or even the Scrap List because they will need to go to Private Treaty. And the reason for this is because the item(s) needs to have a price because the Private Treaty system needs to have a base sale value to compare against.
If you attempt to put an item that has the source of PRIVATE TREATY into the Scrap List from the Unpriced status, the system will not let you until you price the item and get the status to update to Inventory.

Once we updated this item to the INVENTORY status, we are able to added it to the Scrap List (aka Recycle List):
