Instructions

Click below to jump to splitting a specific item type.

  1. General Merchandise
  2. Jewelry
  • To split an item, Select Inventory from the Dashboard:
  • You can select an item from the list of items to be priced or search for the item number in the Inventory Search.
  • Alternatively, you can select the Price Items from the Tasks List Tiles on the Dashboard.

General Merchandise

  • Once you have the item to split, click on Split from the lower left side menu.
  • You will now be in the Split Item window.
  • In the lower left corner are a series of buttons:
  • When splitting an item, you can add new items or copy the existing one.
  • Click Add Jewelry or Add Merch to create a new item that needs to be valued through the Estimator.
  • Clicking Copy Item duplicates the existing item.
  • For example, after clicking Copy Item, Bravo creates an exact duplicate with the same description, location, and price. The original cost is split equally between both items.
  • Copied items don't require the Estimator.
  • Clicking Add Merch creates a new inventory item in Bravo.
  • This new item above will need to be run through the Product Estimator to be correctly evaluated.
  • Enter all information necessary in the Add Item Screen and click Next.
  • You can copy or add as many items as needed.
  • The original item is part of the Split Queue. You can delete added or copied items, but not the original.
  • As items are added, the original cost is split among the Split Queue items.
  • Cost is calculated using this formula:
  • Item Price/Total Price * Original Cost = Item Cost.
  • The original item's cost is calculated as, Total Cost - New Item Cost = Original Item's Cost

Note: The Cost Adjustment report will reflect cost changes:

Items that are Part of a Collection (Quantity Items)

  • You can pawn multiple items like CDs or movies at once using the bulk item button.
  • Once priced, they appear as original items on the list.

For instance, if you loan 20 CDs at $1.00 each, all 20 will automatically show up on the list. The price is set by the estimator during the pawn process, and each CD can have a different price. These original items cannot be deleted.

  • The cost of each CD is its original price unless split into new items.
  • Use the split button to add new items (one per click), like a case for the CDs.
  • The cost will be adjusted accordingly. If no new items are added, the cost remains as at the time of pawn.

Jewelry

  • Once you selected the Jewelry item to split, click on Split from the lower left menu.
  • You will now be in the Split Item screen.
  • The side menu in the lower left corner has a series of buttons to note, Add Jewelry, Add Merch and Copy Item:
  • When splitting an item, you can either add new items or copy the existing one.
  • Click Add Jewelry to create a new item that needs to be evaluated using the Jewelry Estimator.
  • Clicking Copy Item duplicates the existing item.

For instance, after clicking Copy Item, Bravo creates an exact duplicate with the same description, location, and price.

  • The original cost is split between the two items.
  • Copied items do not need to be run through the Estimator.
  • On the other hand, if you click Add Jewelry, Bravo will create a new inventory item.
  • This item must go through the Jewelry Estimator for proper evaluation.
  • Since this is a Jewelry piece being disassembled for individual sale, the original item must be updated to reflect its new form. Highlight the original item and click Estimator.
  • Click the icon at the bottom to remove the selected piece from the original item.
  • Click Next on the top right to save the changes. See screen below.
  • You can copy or add as many items as needed.
  • The original item is part of the Split Queue. You can delete added or copied items, but not the original.
  • As items are priced, the original cost is divided among the Split Queue items.

New item costs are calculated as follows:

  • Item Price/Total Price * Original Cost = Item Cost.

The original item's cost is calculated with:

  • Total Cost - New Item Costs = Original Item Cost.

Example: $680.00 is loaned on a Lady's Diamond & Stone Ring. The ring and main diamond are priced separately, creating three additional items. The original ring is item #1.

  1. Lady's Diamond Ring priced at $829.00
  2. 6 Diamonds priced at $59.99
  3. 2 Diamonds priced at $56.00
  4. Colored Stone priced at $3.99
  • Each item was priced using the Jewelry Estimator.

Total Price for all items: $948.98

After pricing, item costs are computed based on a $680 loan. The original item adjusts for any missing costs as follows:

  1. 6 Diamonds = $59.99 / $948.98 * $680.00 = $42.98
  2. 2 Diamonds = $56.00 / $948.98 * $680.00 = $40.12
  3. Colored Stone = $3.99 / $948.98 * $680.00 = $2.85
  4. Lady's Diamond Ring = $680 - $85.95 = $594.05
  5. Total Cost for all items: $680.00 (original loan amount)
