Vendor Type Transfer
- From the Dashboard, select Third Party Transfers > Start Firearm Transfer.

- For Seller/Transferor, search for the Vendor in the E-Mail Address or Business Name field.

- The transfer type will be updated and displayed at the top of the screen in red text.

Consumer Private Party Transfer
- Selecting a customer without an FFL will designate the transfer as a Consumer Private Party Transfer.
- This transfer type will be updated and displayed at the top of the screen, in red text.

Select Buyer/Transferee
- For Consumer Private Party Transfers Firearms left in the store, they will appear on the Third Party Transfers screen.
- You can add notes and send SMS or mobile messages to the involved parties.
- To process the transfer pickup for the Buyer/Transferee, proceed to Transfer Pickup.
Firearm not left in the Store
- For Consumer Private Party Transfers Firearms that are NOT left in the store, the Transactions screen will immediately load with the transfer displayed in Transaction Staging.
- Continue the transfer process by continuing to Transfer Pickup.
Describe the Transfer Item, then click Accept to create the transfer.
Transfer Item
- To provide firearm transfer details, enter the manufacturer, model, or UPC in the Estimator Smart Search at the top.
- Alternatively, click Item View in the bottom left and use the "Estimator" button to access the Find Manufacturer/Model screen.
- After selecting the model, fill out the Add Item Screen. Only details recorded in the ATF A&D Book are required, as the transfer is not for police reporting or inventory pricing.
- Serial Number
- Caliber
- Action
- Type (if not already determined by the category of the model)
- Importer (if required by store configuration)
Click Next to return to the Start Firearm Transfer screen.
- For Consumer Private Party Transfers, the firearm's Item View asks for location and if it's left in the store. If not, the location clears; if yes, it's required. For more on item possession, see Private Party Transfer - Items Left in Store.
- For FFL Vendor Transfers, location is always required since the store receives the item from the vendor. An FFL Vendor Transfer cannot start without adding the item to the ATF A&D Book.
An item label will print for each transfer item after you select "Accept" and the transfer(s) are saved.
Transferring multiple firearms between transfer parties
To transfer multiple firearms:
- Click Add New Item or Copy Item. Each firearm creates a separate transfer, but you can pick up multiple firearms in one transaction on the same E4473 if they are of the same type.
- Click Item View in the Transfer Parties View panel to see details of the selected item.
- Click Transfer Parties View in the Item View panel for Seller/Transferor and Buyer/Transferee information.
