The "Tax Included" checkbox lets Bravo deduct tax, so customers pay only the agreed price. This can apply to individual items or the whole transaction.
When selling, you can select Tax Included for each item or use the Tax Included button on the top right to apply it to all items in the transaction.
The Tax Included checkbox can be configured to remain hidden in transactions for stores that do not permit this option.
Instructions
- In the this example with all items priced to pay tax as an additional amount, the pretax subtotal is $394.00
- Clicking the Tax Included button for the whole transaction will be discounted to a pretax subtotal of $368.22 in order to make the total with tax at the tender screen of $394.00.
- Each item is discounted by the tax rate of 7% in this example.
One or more items
- Using the same sale transaction. We could choose to give Tax Included on the most expensive item.
- Just select and click the Edit button for the selected item.
- Click Tax Included and click Ok.
- Note the Tax Included is no longer a check for the whole transaction, it is instead a blue square indicating that one or more items of this transaction are tax included.
- The item price is discounted from the original price minus the tax rate.
- The subtotal will be updated with this new Tax Included discount.
- Click Next to continue with the Sale.
- Select Tender Type and complete the transaction.

- In the example below the item is priced to pay tax as an additional amount, the pretax subtotal is $45.00
- The Tax Included button checkbox is hidden so this store is not allowing the ability to set the price with the Tax Included option.
To set up a store with the Tax Included box not visible, go to System Configuration.
- Select the Configurations Tab and scroll down to POS CONFIG.
- Click the Edit button and uncheck the box for Display "Tax Included" Checkbox in Transactions.
- Click the Save button and then the Done button to return the the Dashboard.
