The Voyager 1400G2D Barcode scanner

You will learn how to set up and configure the Voyager 1400G2D barcode scanner in Bravo, including scanning settings and installation steps.

WARNING

If you have previously had the scan shell 800R or 800NR plugin installed in Bravo, you will need to completely uninstall that plugin.

Attached to this document are the 4 scans that need to be done for the Honeywell 1400G 2D scanner to work with Bravo and scan Driver's Licenses.

Directions on how to uninstall the SCANSHELL plugins in Bravo for Windows 10.

1. Right Click on the Start Button, followed by selecting Control Panel.

               

2. Once In control Panel select uninstall a program.

 3. Once inside of the UNINSTALL PROGRAMS window, select and uninstall the Bravo CSSN Interface & the CSSN SDK (x64) Version X plugins for the scan shell ID scanners. 

You are now ready to begin installing the new Bravo barcode ID scanner plugin.

 

INSTALLING THE PLUGIN!

In order to install the new plugin for the Bravo barcode ID scanner first open a web browser and visit the following site:

http://bravoinstall.com/bravoinstall/plugins/

Once at the Bravo plugin download page you will want to click on and down load the ID BARCODE SCANNER plugin.

When the plugin has finished installing then you will want to run the executable and install the package.

**First, if open close Bravo.**

Run the installer as an administrator and follow the steps to walk through the installer.

5. Once you have finished installing the plugin you are ready to open Bravo.

**If you receive the following error message please call a Bravo technician right away.**

 

Once inside of Bravo you will see the following icon to show that the plugin is in fact installed after clicking the plug icon on the left:

 

NOW IT’S TIME TO SET UP THE BARCODE SCANNER!

THE FOLLOWING IS FOR THE HONEYWELL VOYAGER 1400G2D barcode scanner

 

In order to setup the barcode scanner itself follow these steps:

  1. Plug the barcode scanner into the USB port of the computer.
  2. You will need to scan a few barcodes to prep your scanner. So consider printing this out.
  3. First if not already enabled activate the Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode format. To do this scan the following barcode. Scan these barcodes in order (1-4). If you are worried the scanner was used for something else previously you can use the "Factory Reset Scanner" at the top to reset all settings and then do the ordered scans

 

 

 

You should now be read to start scanning in IDs with your barcode scanner! Click the scan button for the plugin to open up and scan the barcode on the ID to have the customer’s information be automatically filled out.
