Topaz Signature Capture Plug-in

You will learn how to install and configure the Topaz Signature Capture plug-in in Bravo to capture digital customer signatures securely and accurately.

Topaz signature devices are now supported for capturing customer signatures.  This can be done through the customer screen while editing a customer or as part of a transaction by enabling Required Images through System Configuration.

NOTE: Do Not plug in or connect the device before following the steps in the process below. Doing so will prevent the device from working properly.

Setup and Installation

Install all of the drivers for the Topaz signature capture device before installing the plug-in. Drivers can be installed by going to http://sigpluspro.com/sigplus and following Steps 1 and 2 in the sigplus guide. Make sure during Step 2 to correctly determine your Tablet Model Group and choose the correct tablet and connection type. In the screenshots below, we are installing a T-S460-HSB-R with a USB connection.

Next, install the Topaz Signature Device plug-in for Bravo:

32 bit OS - http://bravoinstall.com/bravoinstall/plugins/TopazSignatureSetup32.msi

64 bit OS - http://bravoinstall.com/bravoinstall/plugins/TopazSignatureSetup64.msi

NOTE: If you do not know which type of OS your computer is using, click on the Windows Icon on the bottom left of your computer and type in "System Information" and the Model Type will say either "x32" or "x64"
NOTE: If the workstation uses a Topaz device with an integrated fingerprint sensor, the Bravo Fingerprint plug-in must also be installed. This plug-in is also located on the Bravo Plug-ins page.

Now, after the plug-in has been installed, connect the device to the workstation via USB.  It should install the correct drivers automatically. Restart Bravo now if you haven't already.

Signature Capture

While editing a customer, the Signature button is displayed on the right:

Clicking the button displays a dialog:

While the customer signs, the signature is displayed on the user’s screen. Some Topaz models display the signature to the customer as they sign; others do not.

If the customer makes a mistake and wants to re-sign, you can click the Clear button to reset the device. Clicking the Accept button will copy the image to the Other photos tab in the customer's profile. Select Save to commit the photo and any other changes to the customer profile.
