If the 4473 that was filed needs to be corrected. Corrections will be able to be made, but there will be no way to resubmit the entire form without having the original and a corrected form. If a correction would need to be made, print the 4473 or attachment, strike a line through it and add the employee's initials as ATF Regulations states to do for corrections and then upload the correct form/attachment.
The purpose of this article is to tech the employee how to upload a corrected form.
1. Go to the Void/View Transactions screen and find your transaction where the firearm was given to the customer or where the money was given to the customer.
2. Open the Transaction in Void/View so that you can see the item. Highlight the item to see the View NICS and View E4473 buttons. Click on the View NICS button.
3. Now select the Upload Corrected 4473.
4. This will pop in a window. In it you can click View 4473 to bring up the 4473 so it can be printed and correction(s) made.
5. Once printed and the corrections made you will need to scan the documents with your printer and send them to the computer. Alternatively you could take a hi definition picture of each page and upload it to the computer.
6. Now that the images are on the computer, back on the Upload Corrected 4473 Form you can drag & drop the images or PDF into the Preview section. You can also use the Browse button to find them on your computer. Finally hit Save.
If you are adding in multiple images instead of 1 PDF, the images will be converted into 1 PDF in whatever order they were entered in as.
7. Now under Notes and Attachments you will be able to see the Original E4473 and the Corrected 4473.
