Use Vendors in Transactions

Learn how to use vendors in Bravo transactions, including consignments, buys, and repairs.

Transactions that are not reported to police can be processed with Vendors in place of a customer. These transactions include:

  • Sale/Bulk Sale
  • Merchandise Services Fees
  • Returns/Exchanges
  • Layaways
  • Repairs
  • Shipping
  • Gift Cards

System Configuration

The employee security option that controls this feature is called Search for Vendor. It is located in the security settings of the store so to enable it, you need to call Support.

Instructions

Processing transactions with a Vendor

  • When searching for a vendor, enable the Include vendors checkbox on the Customers found window:

NOTE: Vendors cannot be used to start a Pawn, Buy, Consignment or Trade as there is no customer name or personal information attached.

  • The transactions listed above will be processed in the same way that you would normally process them with a customer.
  • The only difference is that the "Vendor" Customer Required Fields will need to be satisfied to complete the transaction.
  • For direct firearm sales to vendors, the "Firearm Vendor" Customer Required Fields will need to be satisfied.
