Using the Digital Scale Plugin

Learn how to use the Digital Scale Plugin in Bravo to streamline weight capture during transactions and ensure accuracy for gold and precious metal items.

Bravo now supports connecting a digital scale to easily capture an item's weight instead of manually typing it in. This feature requires the A&D Weighing EK-1200I Scale.

Getting the Plugin 

  • You can purchase the Digital scale plugin by selecting the "Scale" button next to item weight or requesting a product here
  • If the button reads "Capture" you have already purchased the plugin!

Setting up the Plugin

NOTE: Do Not plug in or connect the device before following the steps in the process below. Doing so will prevent the device from working properly.
  • Download the proper drivers 

    •  http://bravoinstall.com/bravoinstall/plugins

      NOTE: If you do not know which type of OS your computer is using, click on the Windows Icon on the bottom left of your computer and type in "System Information" and the Model Type will say either "x32" or "x64"
  •  Now, plug in your EK-1200I Scale  to the workstation via USB. It should install the correct Drivers. Restart Bravo if you haven't already.
  •   If the plugin has been installed correctly, on the far left will be an image of a cord and plug. If you click on this it should show the digital scale plugin image

Using the Plugin

  • Ensure your scale is attached to your workstation via USB and your plugin is installed. 
  • Navigate to the Jewelry Estimator 
  • Weigh your item on the scale
  • While the item remains on the scale, click the "Scale" icon adjacent to the item weight, this will populate the item weight with the data read from the scale.
