Write-Off Multiple Items
Outlines the steps to write off multiple inventory items in Bravo at once, saving time when managing damaged or missing merchandise.
Considerations:
In order to write off multiple items at one time, you will need to first have these inventory items in a Lost or Damaged Event.
Note: Items must be set with a "Cause/Reason" of Missing or Stolen in the Lost/Damaged event to be written-off
Prerequisite:
The employee setting the items in the lost/damaged event and subsequently writing them off will need the securities to do so.
- Main Menu > Lost or Damaged Items
- Main Menu > Lost or Damaged Items > Mark or Resolve Lost or Damaged Items
- Main Menu > Write off Item
How to do it:
First you need to grab a list of inventory items and place them in a Lost/Damaged event. To do this, you can highlight all items at one time by clicking on the first item you want to write-off and then holding SHIFT on your keyboard and left clicking on the last item you want to write-off. Then click on the Lost or Damaged button on the right:
Note: You will not be able to add more than 50 items to one Lost or Damaged event at a time. If you need to add more items, either put them in a separate Lost or Damaged event, or add them all to the initial event using the conventional method here
You will now be directed to the Lost or Damaged Items screen. From here, each items needs to be given a Cause/Reason for them going to the Lost/Damaged Event.

You can highlight all of the items in the same way as before. Highlight all items at one time by clicking on the first item you want to write-off and then holding SHIFT on your keyboard and left clicking on the last item

Once you fill out the reason you must then SAVE the event on the top right. You will need to approve the General Exception that gets prompted.
Everyone sees this Exception request, even if the employee seeing it has the securities to perform this action.

When you successfully save the Event, it will give you the event # make sure to save this number.

Go Back to the Dashboard of Bravo and open up the Lost or Damaged Items section.

Then enter in the Event # you saved earlier into the Event Number Search at the top then hit enter or click the Search button on the right.

Now what you will do, is highlight all items on the list that will be written off for the exact same reason using the same method as before (SHIFT + Click) and click on the Write off Item button.
If any of the items need to be written off for a different reason from the rest, that will need to be done separately.

You will now see the pop up for Shrink Item and you can choose a reason for the "<multiple>" write offs.
Please note the BRAVO - BITS.
These items will be removed from inventory and cost will be written off as a loss. This cannot be undone. If the items are later found, you will need to purchase them in.

Once you have chosen your reason and click Ok on the window, all items will have the Status as SHRINK (or donated in the event that you donated the items) now. And each item will have the Resolution of WRITTEN OFF. Now you will click Save on the top right to confirm your changes.

Looking the event back up in Lost or Damaged Items will show you the Status of Event is resolved.

When looking up any of the items that were in this event, they will show the Status of SHRINK.

The Item History for an item that got shrunk this way will first show that it went into a Lost or Damaged event and finally the reason for the write off.

Specifics:
Firearms cannot be written off for DUPLICATE or RETURN TO VENDOR in this fashion. If that is what you need to accomplish, you must do each firearm separately so that the ATF log gets updated properly.
