Install the ID scanner plugin. Ensure all Bravo applications are closed.
Next, plug the barcode scanner directly into a USB port of the computer.
You will need to scan a few barcodes to prep your scanner. So, consider printing this out.
First if not already enabled activate the Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode format for the general merchandise labels. To do this scan the following barcode

Then you can also scan and activate the following barcode for the Code 128 format, which is used by the jewelry labels.

If you are using the barcode for scanning IDs as well, you need to enable the PDF417 barcode format.

After that you will want to enable carriage return so that your scan is automatically 'entered' by the system and you don't have to click the Enter key on your keyboard
