Fortis Multi-Terminal
Set up and use Fortis Multi-Terminal in Bravo to enable credit card payments across multiple workstations.
This document will show basic usage differences between having a single terminal enabled through Fortis -vs- multiple terminals enabled through Fortis.
How to Start or Setup:
- Must have Bravo enabled for In-Store Fortis transactions.
- Must have more than one terminal enabled and connected through Fortis.
Best Use and Steps:
First time users will need to select a Fortis terminal when prompted. This selection requirement will happen in the Tender screen when the user selects to add a Fortis credit card tender. See below. Just need to select the desired terminal in the dropdown.
Terminal selection is saved:
Last terminal used will be automatically selected as the default terminal, skipping the requirement to select a terminal for future Fortis transactions.
Change the selected Terminal:
There is no system configuration setting to change. The only method to change the Fortis terminal a Bravo workstation uses, is to select a different terminal in the “Payment Terminal” dropdown. This window is seen when adding a Fortis tender to a transaction.

No terminal selected:
If the user fails to select a terminal, they will be prevented from adding a Fortis tender. The Payment terminal dropdown will turn red and show one of two warnings. Simply selecting a terminal will allow Fortis tenders to be added to the transaction.
