Vendor Catalog Integration

Use Bravo’s Vendor Catalog Integration to quickly create SKUs and simplify inventory setup from vendor product catalogs.

Vendor Catalog Integration is part of the Stock feature. Contact Bravo if you do not see Stock and would like information about enabling this feature.

Vendor Catalog Integration allows your store to create Stock with details sourced directly from integrated vendor catalogs such as RSR, Lipsey's, Zanders, and Sports South.

Vendor Catalog Integration also allows you to create Stock from any existing model in the Bravo Estimator catalog.

To use Vendor Catalog Integration, your store must:

  • Be in a company with Stocks enabled
  • Be located in the United States
  • Have an FFL number configured in System Configuration

Selecting Vendor Catalogs to be Searched

First, configure your store for the vendor catalogs you wish to search. To do this, select the drop-down menu on the Vendor Catalog Integration option under the Configuration tab in System Configuration, then check the checkbox for each catalog you wish to search. Catalog search results will only display items from the enabled catalogs. Bravo Estimator models are always shown in catalog search results.

Creating Stock

To create Stock, begin by searching for a UPC, manufacturer, model, or description on one of the following screens:

  • The Stocks tab in System Configuration
  • Stock Management screen has:
    • Purchase Orders
      • SKUs
    • Receivings
    • Stock Adjustments

Bravo will return any existing SKUs in your company matching your search text. If you don't see an existing SKU for the item you searched, select the Catalog Search button that appears next to the search box.

Note: You must have security permission for the Add/Edit Stock at store level security bit.

Catalog Search

In some cases, no Stock in your company will match the search, so Bravo will automatically perform a Catalog Search.

The Catalog Search page contains the following elements:

  1. Filters panel – Contains filters for Category, Make (Manufacturer), Model and MSRP. By default, filters are closed. You can expand each filter separately to filter search results.
  2. Search field – Contains search query and X button to clear it.
  3. Search results grid – Contains results for SKUs from different vendor catalogs. Double clicking the SKU card in the grid or clicking the Select button will open Create SKU screen.
  4. Clear Filters button – This will clear any filters applied. After this, initial search results will be displayed.

Select a catalog item from the Catalog Search screen and click Select to continue to Stock creation.

If only one catalog item is returned by your search, Bravo will automatically Select that catalog item. If there is already Stock in your store with the same UPC as the selected catalog item, Bravo will return to the previous screen and select that Stock. Otherwise, Bravo will proceed to Stock creation.

**New in 3.1.3** - If the Catalog Search does not return an item for the Stock you wish to create, select Create Stock on the right panel to go directly to the Create Stock screen without a catalog item selected.

If the category of the catalog item is one of the categories that is used for serialized Stock, you may want to view the Serialized Stock article for additional instructions. The remainder of this article will provide instructions for vendor catalog integration with non-serialized Stock.

Proceed with Stock creation according to the steps in the article for Create Stock Screen.

Click Next on the Create Stock screen to return to the previous screen, where you can review pending changes and save the Stock. If you are on an applicable purchasing screen, you can also set Added Quantity before saving.

Whether a non-serialized Stock was created with or without a connection to a vendor catalog item, you can review the Stock article for information about the following:

  • Cost Averaging
  • Cost of Goods Sold (when SKU Quantity is zero)
  • Adding to the Number of Items in a SKU
  • Writing off SKUs
  • Printing Shelf Tags
  • Selling from a SKU
  • Layaways for SKUs
  • Returning SKUs
  • SKUs and Ad Hoc Reporting
