The Main configuration screen has three panes. The left pane shows a hierarchy of stores, employees, and workstations. The center pane is the main work area.
The tabs at the top of the main work area change based on the selection in the left pane, offering different configuration options. The right pane displays a button list that updates according to the selected tab.
Store Information
The Store Information tab allows the user to define general information about the store including the store location, store logo, and other general information.
Select the store to edit in the navigation pane.
The current information for the store is displayed in a non-edit mode.
Select the Edit button. This will cause the fields on the main work panel to be activated for editing.
Modify or populate the fields. The following provides additional information about some of the entries:
- Print code – This is the three-character unique code that is used to identify the store and is prepended to the beginning of transaction numbers, inventory numbers, and pawn ticket numbers to make them unique for each store in your company. This field cannot be changed.

- Add Store Specific Tax Authority - This can be selected if you have two or more stores in the same zip code that have different tax codes.
Select Save to commit the changes to the database or select Cancel to discard the changes.
Select Done to exit the configuration function.
Configuration Tab
The Configuration tab allows the user to customize Bravo for the selected store. The information is divided into logical segments.
As with the previous configuration screen, select the Edit button to open the fields for change. Some fields require information to be typed, some are check boxes that can be toggled on or off, and others are selected from a drop-down list. When finished, select the Save button to save the changes.

Other Configuration Settings

Each of these settings is specific to additional features in Bravo. To learn about these features, including their required configuration settings, click on the links above.
Regulatory Tab
Regulatory options are defined in sets. Multiple sets can be defined but only one may be used for each new loan or redemption. One regulatory set is defined as the default set and will be automatically used by Bravo unless another is specified by the user.

Below are general functions and definitions regarding Regulations in Bravo. Regulations are defined in part by any applicable laws in your store's jurisdiction. As such, the ability to edit these rules should be highly controlled. If at any time you need help adjusting a regulation, please call 888-407-6287 and speak to a Support Technician for help.
Regulations cannot be adjusted or edited once they are effective. These are the terms of the loan and constitute a contract with a customer. Loans written under a specific regulation are locked into that regulation until they are redeemed or renewed. Loans can be renewed into a different regulation than the one they were originally written on.
At any time a store can have more than one regulation depending on your needs. For example, you may have a regulation that is specifically for first time customers that offers special terms.
To learn more about regulatory set rules, read the article here .
Select a Regulatory Set
If the Enabled box beside a regulatory set is checked, that regulatory set is available to be used. If unchecked, the set is still defined but is rendered inactive.

Check the check box in the default column beside one regulatory set to make it Bravo’s default setting. If a box is already checked it will automatically be unchecked if another is selected.
Note: Clicking on the name of the configuration item will display a description and/or definition of the value to be entered.
Regulatory Definitions
The regulatory set options are divided across three tabs, Configuration, Fees and Criteria.

Fees
The Fees tab defines the fees that are assessed on pawn transactions.

Each fee will allow an amount to be configured, either in whole dollar amounts or a percentage of the principal depending on the fee.
Fees will also need to be configured with a frequency (or how often they charge) as well as an event (or what triggers the fee to charge). An explanation of how the fees will charge will appear along the bottom of the fee configuration line.

Regulation selection criteria is a way to become more aggressive with your lending practices. Using the criteria allows you to create a temporary promotion based on customer or items, guide employees to select the proper regulation for the loan, and limit what regulations can be selected when creating a loan.
The Criteria tab is the third tab located on the Regulatory page in System Configuration.

To set a criteria for when a regulation can be used, click the green + and select from the following options. (Multiple criteria can be selected during this process.)

There are five different sub-tabs that each controls a different part of the transactions process. Click on each link to learn more.

Some of these fields are required by local jurisdictions. You will need to verify what is required for each transaction type with your own jurisdiction.
The options are as follows:

New fees can be added by clicking Edit and then Add. You will see the following configuration window.
The Default Amount can be modified at the time of transaction.
The General Ledger account determines which account is credited or debited for the fee.
Tax Group determines if the fee is taxable or not.
Tills
On the Tills tab, tills can be added or modified.

There are six types of tills in Bravo:
- Global Till
- A shared cash drawer accessible by any employee from any workstation, allowing multiple employees and workstations to use it simultaneously.
- Employee Global till
- Each employee has their own till, but they can use any workstation. The money from transactions is linked to the employee.
- General Till
- Only one employee at only one workstation can access.
- Main Till
- A transaction-friendly safe handles all transactions from a shared safe, acting like a global till without the need to move money between tills and safes.
- POP Till
- Till specific to Point of Pawn Transactions only.
- POS Till
- Till specific to Point of Sale Transactions only.
In addition to adding a till or changing the till type, a till can be given an Alias.
Till modifications can only be made when the status is Closed Repository. Tills in a status of Open Repository cannot be modified.
Tenders
The Tenders tab allows you to customize which tender types your store will accept in general and which types your store will accept for Pawn transactions.
Changing the Currency from "USA - Dollars" will potentially change the language of Bravo.

To accept a tender type, simply select the check box under the Active column.
To accept a tender type for pawn, select the check box under the Accept for Pawn column
Tenders can have a minimum and maximum amount.
For example, if you have your Visa tender set to a minimum of $5.00, you will not be able to select that tender type for transactions under this amount.
Likewise if you have a maximum tender set. For example, maybe you don't want to accept a personal check for more than $500. Setting the max at $500 will limit the dollar value of this tender type acceptable per transaction.
Some tenders also allow a Max Over Tender. This amount should be set if a customer can get cash back on a transaction involving a credit or debit card. This can be set to zero.
Tenders can also be set to require a unit count. This option can be turned on for all options except cash. For all other tenders, turning this option on will require the associate to enter the physical count of units taken in during the day. (To learn about tracking cash by tender, please click here to learn about Safe Denomination Tracking.)
Pawn Ticket
Some stores have pawn tickets that allow for advertising on the right hand side of the ticket. These ads can be configured on the Pawn Tickets tab. (If you are not sure if your pawn ticket will support this feature, check with a Bravo tech)

To add a custom image, select Edit and then Click Browse to choose an image file from your computer.
Images must be at least 300x750, but cannot be more than 600x1500. The image must be 2.5 times taller than it is wide. If you click edit and hover your mouse over the image box, the pop-up will appear to remind you of these specifications.
Alternatively, you can choose to show the rate schedule in place of either or both images.
Storage Locations Tab
The storage location tab allows you to assign location names for the warehouse and inventory items.

You need to have configured at least one Warehouse and one Inventory storage location.
You can add as many locations as you need to.
To add a storage location, first determine if it is supposed to be Inventory or Warehouse.
Next click Add.
Give the location a name. If the location is off site, check the off site box. If the location needs to have a number range, check the box Location Range.
This will create a group of locations with the same name and a range of numbers.
Estimator
The Estimator allows you to set values for Jewelry and General Merchandise based on the current market. You are able to set rates for Pawn and Buys based on your store's practices.

The Estimator tab is divided into three sub-tabs (Click on each link to learn more):
Estimator Configuration Tab
The Configuration tab allows you to set how items are weighed and measured. You will also set the values of stones on this tab.

Under Units, select the Weight Unit.
- Grams
- Pennyweights
Under Units, select the Length Unit
- Centimeters
- Inches
Under Diamonds and Stones enter a % markup for Retail, for Pricing and a % of market value to offer for Pawn and for Buy. In addition to the previously mentioned % values, you may adjust a Lab Grown % for diamonds. This value will be used to calculate the estimate of a Lab Grown diamond as a percentage of a Natural diamond estimate. To learn more about Lab Grown diamonds, review the Pawn/Buy Jewelry Item page
A note about Diamond prices in Bravo: Only white diamonds are evaluated under the Diamond tab in the Jewelry Master.
Metals
To set the prices of precious metals in Bravo, click on Metals from the Estimator tab in System Configuration.

Values in Bravo are set based on metal purity and a percentage of the market value. The prices are updated in Bravo throughout the day, however individual stores can set prices as often or infrequently as they like.
The Metals tab has two distinct sections:
- Header with information that you can view and change.
- Metals table where you set prices and define other metals.
HEADER
The header displays the following information:
- Price to Retail Markup displays the markup percentage from the Price listed in the Metals table and what a typical retail price might be.
- Current Market Values are listed as of date of the last market trade. The last trade date will show the most recent update to these values. This does not automatically affect your prices.
- Value per [unit of measure]. Unit of measure is selected on the Configuration tab, either grams or pennyweights.
- Last Updated is the date the metals table was last updated by you.
- Set Values. Allows values to be set based on a percentage of the market and will set prices based on the last trade values in Bravo.
METALS TABLE
The metals tab displays the following information:
- Type - Displays Gold, Silver, Platinum, or Other.
- Purity - Displays the metal purity or other metal (Titanium, Tungsten, Stainless, Copper)
- Market - Last updated Market Value per unit of measure.
- Price - What the store will typically sell each unit of measure for based on Type and Purity.
- Pawn - Value per unit of Measure for Pawns.
- Buy - Value per unit of Measure for Buys.
Change the Metal Table
To change the values on the Metal table, click the Edit button at the top.

In the Price to Retail field, type a new number or use the up and down arrows to increment the number up or down. (Optional).

If your store uses static values for metals, you will want to update each line individually without choosing the Set Values button.
To edit individual lines or metal types, you can change each line.
Under Price, enter the price you would like to charge per unit of measure based on the metal type and purity.
Under Pawn, enter the amount that you would like to pay out on loans per unit of measure based on the metal type and purity.
Under Buy, enter the amount that you would like to pay out on buys per unit of measure based on the metal type and purity.
Click Save.

If your store bases prices on the current market, you will want to use the Set Values button instead.
Click Set Values .
NOTE - Using SET VALUES will overwrite any previously entered custom values.
The top line represents what the value percentages WILL be once updated.
The bottom line represents where your current values are based on the last market trade.
- Price is your mark up from the current market value to your store prices.
- Pawn is the percentage of the current market value that you would typically loan.
- Buy is the percentage of the current market value that you would typically pay out on a buy ticket.
Set these percentages as necessary, and click OK.
Clicking OK will update your values to be in line with the last market trade.Your values per unit of measure remain static unless you update them for the current market.
Categories
To set values for general merchandise, click on Categories from the Estimator Tab in System Configuration.
These are the percentage calculations of the best price that give the pawn and buy values that are returned in the estimator.
These are top level categories in Bravo. All items under the category will return the same percentage value.
These values can be adjusted up or down to suit the needs of you store.
Once all values are set, click save.
Other Estimator Tabs
There are 2 more sub-tabs on the Estimator tab that are paid features.
Calendar
The Calendar tab is just what it sounds like.

If your store is set to be closed on Saturdays or Sundays in the Configuration Tab, the calendar, on the first time entering this tab, will request if you want to mark all of these days as closed.

To set an individual day to closed, right click on that date.

Select Mark Store Closed to mark the date as closed.
